Neighbors Respond to Zoning Request with Blue Cards

Thank you, your hard work as neighbors and concerned citizens has been evidenced by the Blue Card responses. The City of Dallas mails “Blue Cards” to property owners within a 500 foot radius of a property seeking rezoning. A map of the “Blue Card Area” follows.

The City mailed 283 Blue Cards and 265 property owners replied which is a 93.64% response rate. Of the responses, 7 were in favor of the zoning request (2.47%) and 258 were opposed (91.17%).

Three of the in “Favor” replies were from partners in the development entity - Gerald Stool, Leland Burk, Mitchell Rasansky (former Dallas City Councilman in District 13) and Mitchell Fonberg.

All Blue Card responses are now posted on the City of Dallas’ website. The overwhelming majority of the opposition responses refer to the height of the proposed development as the reason for the opposition. Again, we want to see this property developed in a manner that everyone wins — the neighborhood, the city, and the developer

Educate our Representatives

Many Dallas residents believe our city representatives are not listening to their constituents. In all likelihood, they will not be made aware of the Blue Card results until this zoning case in heard by the City Plan Commission on August 6, 2026 (more to follow on this later).

Please contact our representatives and share your thoughts about the Blue Card responses and ask for their position on this zoning case.
